1.1 Our Website is operated by Broadfield Law UK LLP, which trades as “Broadfield” (we, us or our). Broadfield Law UK LLP is a limited liability partnership registered in England and Wales under registered number OC320798.
1.2 Our registered office and principal place of business is at One Bartholomew Close, London EC1A 7BL, where a list of the members of Broadfield Law UK LLP is open to inspection. We use the word “partner” to refer to a member of Broadfield Law UK LLP, or to an employee or consultant with equivalent standing and qualifications.
1.3 Our registration number for value added tax in the United Kingdom is GB 238 4216 66.

2. Our regulatory status
2.1 We are authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (the SRA), the regulator of solicitors and law firms in England and Wales, under SRA number 448617.
2.2 The professional rules that apply to us are the SRA Standards and Regulations, including the SRA Principles and the SRA Codes of Conduct. These can be accessed at www.sra.org.uk.
2.3 We are not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (the FCA). However, we are included on the register maintained by the FCA (available at register.fca.org.uk) so that we can carry on insurance distribution activity, which is broadly the advising on, selling and administration of insurance contracts. This part of our business, including arrangements for complaints and redress if something goes wrong, is regulated by the SRA.
3. Professional indemnity insurance
3.1 We maintain professional indemnity insurance in accordance with the SRA Indemnity Insurance Rules. Details of our insurer and the territorial coverage of our professional indemnity insurance are available on request.
4. Complaints
4.1 We are committed to providing a high-quality service to all our clients. If you are unhappy with any aspect of the service you receive from us, or with a bill, please raise your concerns in the first instance with the partner responsible for your matter, so that we can try to resolve the matter. 4.2 If we are unable to resolve your complaint, you may be entitled to refer it to the Legal Ombudsman. The Legal Ombudsman can be contacted at Legal Ombudsman, PO Box 6806, Wolverhampton, WV1 9WJ, 0300 555 0333 (Monday–Friday, 9am to 5pm), enquiries@legalombudsman.org.uk. There are time limits for referring a complaint to the Legal Ombudsman.
4.3 The SRA can help if you are concerned about our behaviour or conduct – for example, dishonesty, taking or losing your money, or treating you unfairly because of your age, a disability or another characteristic. You can find out how to raise your concerns with the SRA at www.sra.org.uk.
