Broadfield Appoints Jonathan Crompton as Partner and Head of Asia Disputes and Investigations Practice

September 14, 2026 (Hong Kong) – Broadfield, a global law firm operating in strategic partnership with SHP Legal Services, announced today that Jonathan Crompton will join the Hong Kong office as a Partner and Head of the firm’s Disputes Resolution & Investigations Practice in Asia. He joins from RPC, where he served as a Partner, Hong Kong Disputes Team Lead, Head of Cyber Response for Asia, and Global Co-Lead for Pro Bono.

Jonathan has more than 20 years of experience advising clients on complex cross-border disputes and investigations and has been based in Asia for more than 15 years. His practice spans litigation, international arbitration, internal and regulatory investigations, financial services disputes, civil fraud and asset recovery, fintech and technology disputes, and cyber and data privacy matters. He has helped clients respond to more than 150 cyber incidents and their aftermath, and on recovering funds lost to cyber and other frauds.

Jonathan advises financial institutions, asset managers, hedge funds, senior executives, and high-net-worth individuals, as well as fintech companies, software providers, payment services businesses, and online platforms. His work includes proceedings before national courts and arbitral tribunals, including HKIAC and ICC arbitrations in particular, and investigations involving regulators including the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, the Hong Kong Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, and the Singapore Personal Data Protection Commission.
