Erlan Valverde focuses on tax advisory and wealth planning. He has over 20 years of experience advising individuals and companies, both Brazilian and foreign, at law firms and a Big Four international consulting firm, where he led the Brazilian desk out of the New York office.
On the corporate side, Erlan advises on a range of matters, including tax planning, M&A transactions, corporate restructurings, tax advisory on inbound and outbound investments, structuring of financial products and investment funds, international taxation, indirect taxes, and strategic tax litigation. For individuals, he serves as an advisor to families and company founders, focusing on the pillars of taxation, corporate governance, and succession planning. He holds the international designation of Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP), awarded by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), a global organization that certifies professionals specializing in estate and succession planning.
Erlan holds a master’s degree in International Tax Law from the Brazilian Institute of Tax Law (IBDT), where he is also a non-recurring professor. He also completed an extension program in the interpretation of tax treaties at the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD) in Amsterdam. He is a member of the Brazilian Institute of Wealth Planning (IBRAPP), where he participates in the Tax Affairs Committee (CAT) and the Legislative Affairs Committee (CAL).
