Akkoyun has joined as a partner in the firm’s New York corporate practice and as Chair of the firm’s Innovation Committee. Akkoyun joins from White & Case, where he was a member of the Global Mergers & Acquisitions practice and served as an official innovation champion for AI and automation.
Akkoyun advises private equity sponsors, corporations, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, and other investors on their domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, joint ventures, business combinations, growth equity investments, corporate governance, and related strategic matters. His practice spans a range of industries, with a particular focus on energy, infrastructure, healthcare & life sciences, technology, and diversified industrials.
In addition to his transactional practice, Akkoyun will lead Broadfield’s Innovation Committee, helping drive the firm’s practical application of artificial intelligence, automation, and process design across legal workflows. His arrival reflects Broadfield’s continued investment in industry-leading legal talent and modern delivery methods to improve quality, speed, consistency, and client value.
